ABOUT US
Aero Facilities is Central Oregon’s premier hangar development, located on the east side of the Bend Municipal Airport. Aero consists of 24 acres of city-owned airport frontage, which has been master-planned into an attractive, efficient hangar community. To date, approximately 50% of the development has been completed.
Aero Facilities began construction in 2008 with its initial set of 6 hangars. There are now a total of 32 hangars completed at Aero, with 12 more under construction. Four Aero building sites have been sold to private owners who have completed their hangars in step with the quality and design inherent in the development. Aero is currently building 10 oversized tee hangars (one building) of which 5 have been pre-sold. These hangars all have electric bi-fold doors, insulation, and are large enough to accommodate a TBM or Epic sized aircraft.
Aero Facilities is a unique home for your hangar. With a pilot lounge and community bathroom, wash station for planes, and a well-designed, elegant building campus, Aero will be the most desirable location for years to come for aircraft owners of all types. OUR VISION
All of the infrastructure to support hangar construction has been installed across the entire 24 acres at Aero. Gas, electric, cable, sewer and water are all available at each remaining Aero building pad. At present, there are four large pads available to build 100 X 100 foot custom executive hangars. There are 11 sites remaining for 80 X 80 hangars, one site for a 70 X 70, and 4 sites for 60 X 60s in a common building. We estimate breaking ground by the end of 2021 on this large four-pack building of 60 X 60 hangars. Completion is estimated to be in March of 2019.
Aero can build your custom hangar from start to turn-key finish, or, a buyer can opt to build his own hangar, meeting the standards for all hangars in our development. All custom Aero hangars are fully insulated, with skylights, heat, bathrooms, commercial fans, Schweiss Hangar Doors, concrete aprons, and 200 amp electrical service. Aero can complete your hangar design with offices, pilot lounges, RV doors, mezzanines, wet bars, kitchenettes, and other interior build-outs to meet your needs. Many Aero hangars have custom epoxy flooring, Big Ass Fans, washer/dryers, or workshops. You design it, we can customize it to whatever you desire.
Aero hangars are high quality Pacific Building Systems (PBS) steel buildings. PBS has been manufacturing steel buildings in the northwest for decades, and has a reputation for building structures that are strong, attractive, air-tight, and built to withstand the Pacific northwest winters. Schweiss hangar doors (hydraulic or bi-fold) are the industry gold standard. With a seven year warranty on all parts, Schweiss doors are efficient, reliable, and add tremendous value to every hangar. Remote control allows the pilot to taxi directly in or out of the hangar, with a push of a button.
